Samsung Epic 4G for Sprint Gets Update Tomorrow

So you rushed to Sprint a few weeks ago and nabbed the Samsung Epic 4G. It has that crisp Super AMOLED screen, WiMax capabilities, Android and, perhaps the reason you got the device, a physical QWERTY keyboard. Life is complete, right? Not so much. Several of you Epic 4G users started complaining that your upload speeds were being seriously capped at just 150kbps – how are you supposed to TwitPic your lunch with speeds like that?!

However, Sprint says it’s pushing out an update starting tomorrow and will continue rolling it out over the course of four days. According to the Sprint message board:

“Good news – an update will be released tomorrow 9/30. It will be rolled out over a 4 day period so not everyone will get it on day 1. I will have the standard MR information (fixes included, rollout schedule, etc) available tomorrow morning and will post it in a new featured thread.”

There aren’t any specifics or details on the update, but we’d be seriously surprised if the 3G upload issue isn’t fixed.

Keep your eyes peeled tomorrow or the next few days for the update if you’re not one of the lucky first and let us know how it works out for you.
