If pre-paid is more your style, AT&T has refreshed its GoPhone plans to include more features you might like. The new plans will take effect starting October 3, and as always, no contracts. It’s definitely a nice option to have when you don’t use your phone regularly or if you’re not too keen on committing yourself long-term to just one carrier.
To start, there are unlimited daily talk and text plans for just $2 each day — not bad when you consider that to be $60/month for unlimited text and talk. But if you’re not going to be using your phone sporadically – guess what? – you can get the $60 monthly plan that will get you unlimited talk and text.
Talk and text sometimes will suffice for many pre-paid folks, but some might want a little bit of data, too — perhaps for the occasional e-mail or maybe to check the weather or movie times. For that, you can tack on 200MB of data to the monthly GoPhone plan for $75. Whether you think the additional 15MB is worth $15 is still up for debate.
