Since the year is 2010, AT&T has finally decided to do something it should have long ago: deliver your home voicemails to your smartphone. Right now, the service is only available to U-Verse customers. Those customers can view and manage their home messages as visual voicemails on their smartphones.
Personally, I take all my calls and messages on my smartphone, and I’m going to guess that most of you reading this do the same. You’re on a mobile site, after all. However, there are still those who have a landline and get important calls at home while they’re away. There’s nothing like coming home to a message that you wish you could have addressed hours before you hear it.
AT&T is continuously updating and integrating U-Verse services with other products for its customers, so perhaps there’s a little bit of incentive for signing up. When I was a U-Verse customer in California, I rarely had issues with my cable, Internet or phone service. Whenever there were outages, it would usually get resolved pretty quickly. If only the prices were just a shade lower.
