
Video search engine blinkx is teaming up with Evri, the real-time content discovery engine, in a deal that would see Evri’s multimedia apps such as EvriThing Tech, EvriThing Gossip and EvriThing Baseball being “enhanced” with videos from blinkx’s Mobile Video Index. In other words, with this partnership, Evri taps into a blinkx’s vast library of mobile video clips to complement and enhance the real-time content streams in its apps.
Evri on its end aggregates and sorts through thousands of sources to deliver relevant information, whether it’s gossip, sports or music, in form of a mobile app.
blinkx’s library contains millions of videos from an extensive network of top-tier content providers. The company has made more than 720 partners and has indexed over 35 million hours of video and audio content to date.
The three applications mentioned (with more to come) — EvriThing Tech, EvriThing Gossip and EvriThing Baseball — are available for the iOS and Android smartphones users. AppStore links are below…
