The Dell Venue Pro is one sexy piece of Windows Phone 7 hardware. Although we only had a few minutes to fondle one during the Windows Phone 7 launch Microsoft held early last week, we were impressed. It’s hefty and svelte, responsive and clean. The folks in the UK will soon be able to grab one for £499.99, or $667 U.S., from Expansys.
Unfortunately, we’re not hearing or seeing anything about carrier support – that goes for both Europe and North America. So if this puppy doesn’t get into the sub-$200 subsidized range, it’s going to be very difficult for Dell to gain any momentum with its Venue Pro. Hopefully that won’t be the case and that it will take a cue from the Streak, which doesn’t have carrier support in the U.S. and isn’t really selling very well at all.
