The just officially released HTC Desire HD has just received its first OTA update to help iron out some of those first run-time bugs. It’s a minor update, yet the file is rather large, so you’ll likely want to be on WiFi when downloading the thing.
While we don’t know exactly what the update does, it is said to address, “screen control and photo message compatibility enhancements.” The software version jumps to 1.32.405.3, and HTC suggests you back up your personal data first, just in case the update somehow goes awry. There likely will be very little to notice after updating your Desire HD, if anything, since it looks to be most back-end fixes. Either way, even a small OTA is nice to see so soon for this beast of a handset.
After updating, you can confirm the that the handset has been updated by going to: MENU> Settings> About Phone> Software Information> Software number.
If you have any questions concerning the OTA, feel free to hit up HTC Support here.
If we missed anything from this update, feel free to speak up in the comments, as we don’t have one of the suckers yet.
