Have I mentioned lately how much I love Verizon’s Android commercials? One ad for the Motorola Droid X and Droid 2 launched last night, featuring the hidden danger that sleeps quietly on rural lawns all winter long until the activation codes are transmitted from the mothership.
Both the X and the D2 are from Motorola, and feature largely similar specs. The X has a bigger screen, clocking in at 4.3 inches (versus 3.7), 8 megapixel camera (versus 5), but the D2 has the added bonus of an honest-to-goodness physical keyboard, and runs Android 2.2 (versus the X’s 2.1).
If the scary snowman sold you on either handset, be sure to check out our review of the Droid X here or the Droid 2 launch details before going to Verizon’s online store to pick one up for $199.99 and $149.99 respectively. There’s currently a promo offering a free second phone when you buy a D2, which ain’t too shabby.
