Good news for all the iPad-ownin’ Flight Control fans out there. Firemint is preparing to update its baby with online multiplayer capability via Game Center, allowing folks to invite a friend to play one of the 5 original size maps online, or choose to be automatically matched to a random player anywhere in the world.
Of course local multiplayer mode will still work via WiFi or Bluetooth, or on a single iPad where two players either collaborate to land as many planes together they can, or compete in the Versus mode.
In terms of availability, Firemint hopes that the update (v1.05) will be available when iOS 4.2 launches. In that sense, this release will also bring multi-tasking support to the iPad so that you can quickly save and resume your plane landing activities.
