Chillingo announced that the popular tower-defense RPG game, Defender Chronicles, is no longer an iPhone/iPod Touch thing, only. Owners of Apple’s tablet can now play the real HD version which of course takes advantage of iPad’s large screen.

As you may know from the original iPhone title, there over 20 different types of units to choose from with over 5 different game modes, as well as 5 difficulty modes and even an endless mode. Moreover, there is a full score of soundtracks and voice-overs, making the gameplay more enjoyable.

In addition, iPad version comes with exclusive features such as brand new units like the Lizardman, Sentinal, Paladin and the Marksman, while some of the existing units have been improved. Of course, graphics is also hi-res, optimized to look better on the iPad.

And that’s about it. Chillingo hopes that’s good enough for a dedicated iPad version of the game, and I’m sure they’re right on target. AppStore link is below.
