Quicky: Low-end AT&T R225 lands in the carrier’s GoPhone portfolio

AT&T has a new low-end feature phone in its GoPhone portfolio – the ZTE-made R225 which the carrier sells as AT&T R225. The dual-band GSM/EDGE candybar isn’t made for folks looking for anything other than making phone calls and texting. Sure it also comes with email and IM messaging support as well as mobile web access, but I’m not convinced the future R225 owners will actually take advantage of those features. Moreover, there’s a music player and the ability to expand the memory storage with microSD cards of up to 8GB…

And that’s about it. You can grab the AT&T R225 for $19.99 from this page.
