The Wine Sisterhood’s Drink-U-Lator helps iParty organizers buy enough booze

The Wine Sisterhood, the popular digital community devoted to promoting wine conversations among women, launched an iPhone app called Drink-U-Lator. The name of the application reminds me on “Drunk-U-Later,” which would be really, really bad name for the app, except for designated drivers.

Anyway, Drink-U-Lator is designed to solve the problem of how much wine, beer and spirits to have on hand for your upcoming holiday parties. You enter the number of guests, beverage(s) you plan to serve, percentage of guests who are wine drinkers and voila… it calculates how many bottles of each beverage to purchase as a guideline.

I’m not sure I would fit in that group calculation, but then again – I’m not going to such “calculated” parties anyway. “Save the last bottle for me” is still one of the best songs I’ve heard. Bruce Willis got it all wrong with that “dancing thing.” 🙂

Finally, before I let you go, you should know (disclaimer) that Drink-U-Lator notes that quantities are suggestions only and promotes responsible consumption…
