U.S.’ WiMAX operator Clearwire launched a new product – Clear Modem with Wi-Fi. But it’s not a portable device like Sprint’s Overdrive — rather it’s a solution for homes and offices.

You know how it works right? Simple start the device and it will connect to Clearwire’s WiMAX network, while sharing connection with all computers in the room. No cables needed. At all.

This wireless blessing could be yours for $120 outright or $7 per month. Of course, you’ll also need a Clearwire contract which starts at $35. If you like the proposal, proceed to this page at the carrier’s website and take it from there. Alternatively, you can grab the modem at Clear retail stores and at authorized dealers.

In related Clearwire news, we’ve recently talked about the company’s money-raising activities. Due to increasing and upcoming competition from the likes of Verizon Wireless and AT&T, they’ve decided to raise an additional $1.1 billion to beef-up its network…
