Received a heads’ up email from Radio Shack earlier today, to remind me that the deals they have going this week are coming to an end on Saturday. You might recall me telling you about this one last weekend… remember, the crazy iPhone 4 deal? Perhaps I should recap.
First, every iPhone 4 (the 16 GB and 32 GB models) are $50 off for new and eligible upgrade customers. $50 off ain’t bad, but the big news here comes if you have an older iPhone to trade-in.
The Shack’s ‘Trade & Save’ offer will save you some big coin. ‘Qualifying’ iPhone 3G and 3GS handsets will garner you a trade-in credit of $75 and $125 respectively. In the end, that means you can pick up an iPhone 4 for as low as $74.99 with a 3G trade-in, and $24.99 with a 3GS trade-in. Not too shabby. Keep in mind, those prices are for the 16 GB model. If you want to go 32 GB, the pricing jumps to $174.99 and $124.99. Still, not bad.
Getting back to the whole deal with ‘Qualifying’ iPhone 3G and 3GS’, your older device must meet these criteria set out by Radio Shack:
To be eligible, the phone must power on, cannot be PIN locked and must be in fully functional, working condition without any broken components, including, but not limited to, cracked or broken display. In addition, the cell phone housing or casing cannot be cracked or broken, and neither the display nor the housing can exhibit any signs of liquid damage…All exchanges are final. Trade-in program not available where prohibited by local law.
Chances are if you’re a tried-and-true iPhone user these conditions will not be an issue. Sure, I know I’ve dropped and scuffed my iPhone a bit in the past, but I still take care of the darn thing pretty well.
Remember, this deal ends on Saturday, so if you want to take advantage, better head in to ‘The Shack’ sooner than later.
