Perhaps you’re scratching your head wondering what the eLocity A7 is, or maybe you’re jumping for joy since news of the Android 2.2 Froyo tablet has been scarce. Either way, the tablet packing an Nvidia Tegra 2 dual-core processor has started shipping today for those who pre-ordered the device from Amazon. Otherwise, you may want to keep your eyes peeled for it at stores like Wal-Mart. The device goes for just $399, which isn’t bad compared to the big-named Android tablets out there like the Samsung Galaxy Tab.
The 7-inch eLocity A7 runs Android 2.2 Froyo and has 4GB of internal memory and 32GB memory card with a USB port that will allow support of up to 64GB of additional memory. If you didn’t get to pre-order one, you’ll be able to get it from Sears, Wal-Mart, Newegg, BJs, TigerDirect, Amazon and MicroCenter starting this week. I’m not sure all those retail outlets will carry them this week, but the eLocity A7 should eventually land at each one within the next few weeks.
