Hey, you blogophiles – the oh-so-popular Posterous service has just launched a client for Android, following up on the recent release of their iPhone app. With the new app, you can post to multiple sites with all of the relevent tags and categories, attach pictures and video taken with your phone’s camera, and geotag a post with your current GPS coordinates. Posterous is also really good about automatically shooting your stories out to Twitter, Facebook, Flickr, LinkedIn and a bunch of other social networks. For those worried, yes, it supports landscape viewing.
Posterous is a lightweight, sharp blogging service that thrives on being easy-to-use on being highly sociable. Personally, IntoMobile sucks me dry of any desire to blog in my off-hours, but if I were to start something casual and personal, I’d be giving Posterous a good hard look.
Future features will include taskbar notifications, Live folders, additional file support, full commenting, and “a better reading experience”, whatever that means. For more info on the app, you can check out their info page here or go ahead and download it in the Android Market, or if you’ve got an iPhone, in iTunes through our snazzy new app widget below.
