Windows Phone Xbox 360 promo

Microsoft is offering a new promotion for prospective Windows Phone customers that will give to them a free Xbox 360 game in exchange for purchasing a Windows Phone handset. The offer is available to U.S. residents and includes the following AT&T and T-Mobile Windows Phone handsets: the Samsung Focus, LG Quantum, HTC Surround, HTC HD7, and Dell Venue Pro. The handset selection is fairly robust, but the game selection is limited to Halo:Reach, Fable III, Kinect Joy Ride and Kinectimals. The promotion started on December 17th and extends until December 31st.

This promotion is one of many that Microsoft is running for its Windows Phone handsets. The Redmond giant, in conjunction with the wireless carriers, is also offering a buy one, get one free offer that applies to handsets purchased from AT&T and T-Mobile. Microsoft is pumping a lot of cash into Windows Phone, both in sponsoring these promotions and in advertising its mobile operating system. The company is rumored to be spending over $500 million in advertising.
