Jabra is using the CES to launch a whole array of products. Unfortunately we don’t care about most of what they’re showing off in Las Vegas, except for the CRUISER2, a successor to the company’s popular Bluetooth-enabled in-car speakerphone.
The new device can sing along a wide variety of third-party apps that allow users to listen to music or hear incoming text messages and emails, making communicating on the road safer and easier. Then there’s the Caller ID functionality which makes the speakerphone “talk” to the user, telling him or her who is calling exactly how they have the caller programmed into their mobile phone — i.e. “Mom calling” or “Martin Work calling.” Voice Announcements are also there, providing audio guidance when setting-up the CRUISER2 and to clearly announce connectivity status and low battery levels.
In addition, thanks to the Noise Blackout technology, ambient sound is reduced without compromising voice quality. Strategically placed microphones are able to distinguish between background noise and the caller’s voice, while the enhanced Multiuse technology allows users to connect two devices to the in-car speakerphone at the same time.
Finally, CRUISER2 comes with the FM transmitter capability so you could play music stored on your phone to the car’s stereo system… All this could be yours for $69 from leading online retailers, Amazon.com included.
