Another day, another white iPhone story. When will it ever end? It just might be over in March, which fits with what Steve Wozniak said yesterday about the fairer version of the Apple smartphone. Rumors and inventory system leaks have pointed to a white iPhone 4 launch soon, so the latest rumor that the ivory device will be hitting UK stores in March.
However, this news is neither shocking nor surprising since Apple already told its customers that the white iPhone 4 would be delayed until spring 2011. With the recent flood of news and rumors, especially the Best Buy system inventory leak that showed a February 27 launch date, it would seem all but certain that the white iPhone 4 is hitting in a few weeks.
What is left to say about the leaks and rumors that do nothing but confirm what Apple has already said? It’s amazing that a story like this has picked up so much steam, but perhaps it’s because Apple has been so quiet on the reasons for the white iPhone 4’s delay. And it has been delayed several times already. Much has been speculated regarding the paint, light leaks and everything in between, so at this point I’ll be relieved once it’s released.
Will it make any sense to buy the white iPhone 4 in spring knowing that there is a good chance a newer and prettier iPhone will be unveiled in a few months? According to our poll from last week, the majority of users have been waiting for the device and will pounce on the opportunity. Baffling.
