Aava Mobile to unveil Intel-powered MeeGo/Android smartphone at the Mobile World Congress

Aava Mobile has been playing with Intel processors and modern smartphone platforms for quite some time now. During last year’s Mobile World Congress, the company showcased a device that runs both Android and Moblin and this year, with MeeGo replacing Moblin (and Maemo), they’ll go one step further. Yup, we should expect to see Aava unveiling their second-generation design that can be used with MeeGo and Android.

We’re hearing the reference design they’ve made comes in an 8.9mm-thick packaging which is pretty sexy by any standards. The product won’t be available for consumers directly but will be used as a developer device.

Unfortunately, we don’t have the whole picture, like what else there is inside this bad body but are looking forward to get some answers while in Barcelona.

Hopefully, Aava folks will be at some of the MWC parties, pitching their products to tired and “slowly getting drunk” bloggers of our kind. Again – can’t wait. 😉
