Handset accessory maker Xentris Wireless used the CTIA to unveil three different kinds of iPhone 4 cases. Here’s what they got:
- Biodegradable snap on covers which (as you can presume) biodegrade once thrown away (mixed with dirt or compost) within 9 months to 5 years. Have no fears, cause it won’t deteriorate while in use, instead offering “stylish protection for the lifetime of the product.” These snap on covers are crafted from the impact resistant polycarbonate and are available in a variety of colors for an MSRP of $19.99.
- Dry Skinz – completely water-resistant iPhone 4 covers that are also scratch-proof and shock-absorbing. All access ports are covered and protected, and there’s also a slide snap to protect the headset jack as well as acoustically engineered audio filters for hearing all audio without compromising the sound quality. The Dry Skins line will be available at the beginning of May in black/clear, blue/clear, pink/clear and white/clear for an MSRP of $49.99.
- Antimicrobial covers – thanks to the use of the FOSSHIELD technology, these covers offer protection that inhibits the growth of harmful bacteria, viruses, mold, mildew and fungi. The antimicrobial protection will not wash off or wear away, offering protection that lasts the lifetime of the product. Apparently, we’re talking about the same FOSSHIELD technology that is used in the recently FDA cleared SpectraShield 9500 Surgical N95 Respirator Mask which was deemed 99.99% effective against certain bacteria. The antimicrobial high gloss covers are currently available in a variety of colors for the Apple iPhone 4, HTC EVO, BlackBerry Curve 3G and LG Vortex for an MSRP of $19.99.
There you have it folks. If you still haven’t found a case for your iPhone 4 (or some other device for the FOSSHIELD covers), now’s your chance.
