Now that you finally got the NoDo update, AT&T may be limiting your upload speeds on the Samsung Focus (at least some reports around the Interwebs suggest so). There’s a workaround way to handle this. Here’s how:
- From the number-dial screen enter ##634# to open the Diagnostics screen
- Enter *#32489# to start the Test mode
- Press back at the bottom of the screen (not the phone’s back button)
- Press 5 for RRC (HSPA) control
- Press 1 to view what yours is set at
- Press 2 to change it
- Press 3 to change to Release 6 HSDPA/HSUPA
- Press [end] to confirm.
When you’re done, the Diagnostics app will be installed on your device and displayed on the installed app list, while ensuring your upload speeds are faster now.
