Although Samsung said the Galaxy S II will hit the UK on May 1st, Phones4u got it a few days earlier. Lucky few who have already pre-ordered the device can expect to get it tomorrow, on April 27th. That’s just few days before the rest of the country will be able to get Sammy’s dual-core baby, but enough for some bragging rights. Moreover, early buyers will also get a free 8GB memory card, which is a nice touch.
Meanwhile, the Korean company unveiled the price and availability details for Austria. Those living in the Land of Mozart will be able to buy the Galaxy S II starting from early May with A1 first to have the phone in its portfolio. Orange and Three, on the other hand, will start selling Samsung’s Android smartphone starting from mid-May.
Off-contract price is set at 699 EUR, which is kinda steep. However, if you get the Galaxy S II with some decent plan, you’ll most likely pay about 100-200 EUR upfront while committing on a two-year contract.
