Verizon Wireless’ new VZW PIX UNLIMITED service offers unlimited wallpaper downloads for $3.99 a month

Verizon Wireless’ VZW PIX is obviously a success for the carrier as they decided to extend the service with the new unlimited offering. Available as a subscription service for $3.99 a month, the newly launched VZW PIX UNLIMITED allows customers to browse and download as many wallpapers as they like (as long as they pay the monthly subscription).

Included in the deal are more than 55,000 different wallpapers with categories ranging from animals, celebrities and cars to stunning landscapes, iconic structures, art and more. In addition, Verizon says the content will be updated regularly to include a seasonal section with wallpapers for every holiday, and “art designed specifically for phones.” Moreover, the service also allows users to personalize their wallpapers by composing and overlaying their own text.

The original VZW PIX — which BTW works on more than 120 different handset models — has been Verizon’s number one wallpaper app for the past four years, with more than six million wallpaper downloads since its release. The carrier will continue to make VZW PIX alongside the new unlimited service…
