A company called Dane-Elec is launching my-Ditto, allowing users to backup and access their files from anywhere in the world, both from their computer or smartphone. Although it’s primarily marketed to Apple users (or so we get from the press release), my-Ditto also works with Windows PCs, as well as other non-Apple made smartphones (yes this means Android).
You could think of the device as Time Capsule on steroids, the fact that earned My-Ditto the 2011 Macworld “Best of Show” award. It comes with 4TB of storage and a super easy (so called “Three Easy Steps”) setup process, which takes less than five minutes to begin safely sharing digital content over the Internet.
According to Dane-Elec’s marketing boss Sherry Chapman, My-Ditto can be personalized for different needs, “whether it’s for sharing files, pictures and videos with friends and family or for workers on the go.”
