Sony Ericsson is turning to social media to get some buzz before launching new products. The Swedish-Japanese company is reaching to its Facebook fanbase of over 4.5 million to ask them to be the first to review two “new feature phones.” The phrase used is “feature phones” even though the competition image shows the Xperia Mini Pro and an unidentified Walkman phone that looks like the WT18i, which supposed to be the China-only device.

Anyway, here’s what you need to do to participate:

  • Visit Sony Ericsson’s Facebook page to guess the names of the phones and explain why you would make a great reviewer in 50 words or less.
  • Return to the page on the May 31st to find out whether you are one of the lucky 12 to receive a handset.
  • The 12 finalists will then create and submit a 45-second video review before June 6th.
  • On June 7th see if your review is on the site for fans to “like”.
  • Follow the competition to see which are the most liked reviews until the final winner is announced on the June 13th.

The winner gets a set of 10 more phones to share with their family and friends…
