U.S. Cellular’s roadmap for the rest of the year has been revealed in all its glory, and for a little regional carrier, they’ve got some solid hardware on the way. The Motorola Photon, which just got its Sprint release date yesterday, will be landing on U.S. Cellular as the Electrify in October. The LG Optimus Black is aiming for a September launch, and is expected to land on Sprint, Virgin, and Alltel too. Besides a handful of other Android devices, including the HTC Desire S, there are also a few BlackBerry handsets on the way. RIM’s new touchscreen slate, the 9850, is being branded as the Torch and should be landing in August, while the lower-end Curve 9350 will be hitting shelves in October. The latest launch on the list is the Huawei Ascend II, dropping in November.
The holiday season of this calendar seems a little scarce, so I wouldn’t be surprised to see a few more pieces of hardware slip into the schedule later on. As always, these dates are subject to the usual changes and delays. Anything in particular from this spread that you’re looking forward to?
