We’ve been waiting for the Motorola Droid Bionic for about six months now and Amazon has just showed off new pictures of it in a car and desk dock. Could this mean that the elusive 4G LTE phone is finally almost ready to be released?
The car dock page doesn’t reveal many details about when we can expect the Droid Bionic to be released or how much it will cost. The desktop dock page is also light on many details.
Both of these pictures do show us some glimpses of the redesigned Droid Bionic. If you remember, Motorola showed off the Bionic in January at CES and although it was a tad chunky, it looked like a really appealing device with a Tegra 2 processor and 4G LTE connectivity. Then, we waited and waited but the device never came out.
It later turns out that Motorola was switching the guts of the device to TI’s OMAP, so the delay was understandable but it’s time for this thing to finally hit the market. It was quite an appealing handset when it was first introduced but many of those who lusted for a Droid Bionic have likely moved on.
