T-Mobile and 7-Eleven have teamed-up to “make access to America’s Largest 4G Network even more convenient.” Starting from yesterday, users are able to purchase the LG GS170 for $29.99 (plus taxes and fees) at 7-Eleven stores across the country. What’s more, during the limited-time promotion, those who grab the device along with a $50 airtime card at 7-Eleven stores will pay half of the phone’s price.
I assume this is just the beginning of the relationship and that soon enough we’ll see a small portfolio of T-Mobile handsets hitting 7-Eleven stores throughout the U.S.
As a reminder, the LG GS170 is an entry-level clamshell with speakerphone, two screens, VGA camera, Bluetooth 2.1 and email support.
Aside from the phone itself, 7-Eleven will also offer no-contract plans from T-Mobile. One such plan offers unlimited talk, unlimited text and unlimited Web with no overage charges and the first 100MB of data at up to 4G speeds for $50 per month.
