While we’re getting closer to a proper iPhone 5 launch, and rough specs are starting to coalesce, there’s still very little that’s firm. Enter the design firm Aatma Studio, which has cooked up this sweet little concept video of how some pretty far-out features might look on the next iPhone. Okay, maybe the iPhone after that. First off, it’s got a ridiculously slim design and an edge-to-edge display. Secondly, the concept is host to a projected laser keyboard, so you could have a full, resizable keyboard on any surface, complete with brightness adjustment. Finally, the concept also includes a holographic projector, so you could watch large videos even without a dedicated surface to project onto.
While stuff like built-in laser keyboards, edge-to-edge displays, and even holographic projection are all individually within the realm of possibility, cramming them all into one handset that slim is about as likely as getting free delivery by unicorn with your iPhone 5 order. Still, these are cool features, and it’s fun to think about how soon we can realistically expect these kinds of features. What do you guys think – ten years? Twenty?
