We have a high-profile release announced on Twitter and this time, it’s true. AT&T said the LG Thrill 4G will be coming Sept. 4 and it brings glasses-free 3D with it.

“Ur whole world in 3D, on 9/4 w/LG #Thrill4G with glasses-free 3D. Tell us how your world is going to come alive,” AT&T said in an official tweet which then linked to this Thrill 4G landing page.

The most appealing feature of this device is the glasses-free 3D display and the 4.3-inch screen can provide some dazzling 3D images. In our review of the international version, we still felt like the 3D was kind of a gimmick but it was still quite nice to have.

The 1 GHz dual-core TI processor is definitely not a gimmick, as the Thrill 4G will come packed with some power to handle the latest applications and programs. Throw on a pair of 5-megapixel cameras which can record in full 3D and you’re looking at one heck of a handset, glasses-free 3D or not. The international version launched with Android 2.2 but let’s hope the AT&T version gets Android 2.3.

The Thrill 4G will land on AT&T Sept. 4 and it’s being reported that it will only cost $99 on a new, two-year contract. Any of you temped?
