I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about tablets lately and I’m genuinely curious: What’s your favorite tablet and why?
If we’re going by sheer sales numbers, I’d imagine many of you would say the iPad, as it has sold more than 22 million units and pretty much kickstarted this whole category. The original iPad also had the market to itself for nearly a full year (yes, I’m ignoring the Galaxy Tab).
But now we’re in an age where nearly every company has a good or great tablet out. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is just as lust-worthy as the Apple tablet and even without the strong app ecosystem, Android Honeycomb is quite a pleasant tablet experience. I’m guessing that many of you went out and bought a discounted HP TouchPad and I’ve found that tablet to be pretty solid, even if it has a software dead-end.
For you full keyboard lovers, the Asus Transformer is a viable option and the 7-inch tablet lovers have some decent options with the BlackBerry PlayBook and the View 4G. While I still use my iPad quite often, I’ve actually been drawn to the Transformer a lot lately.
So, what’s your favorite tablet and why? Let us know in the comments.
