Postcard On The Run turns your iPhone into a memory factory

It looks like postcards are the new hip thing in mobile technology, as a new app company lets you use your iPhone to create and send postcards while you’re out and about.

Postcard On The Run does exactly what the title implies: the iPhone app will let you use your phone’s camera to create postcards that will be created and shipped out by the company. Along with your photos you take on the phone, you’ll also be able to use your existing Facebook photos to create postcards.

Postcard On The Run will take care of printing, postage and deliver and the it even says that if you don’t know the address, it will be able to find it via a service it calls Postal Gopher. I’ve downloaded the free app and it’s very easy to customize your own postcard, including being able to include a signature with your finger. I’m anxious to see how the final product turns out, as I could see this being a neat way to share your travels with your friends and loved ones in a convenient way.

This isn’t the first mobile app that tries to marry old school pleasantries with modern technology, as Postagram offers easy ways to create postcards from Instagram. I’m curious if any of you are interested in this in a world where instant uploading to Facebook is just a click away.

Still, check out this video below of Postcard On The Run.
