Cut the Rope heading to LG smart TVs

Wow, we don’t see a mobile game extending to the big screen every day. That said, today we’re pleased to inform you that the ultra-popular (and BAFTA-winning) iOS and Android title Cut the Rope is going to a living room near you, presuming you (or your neighbor) have an LG smart TV.

Interestingly, it wasn’t ZeptoLab (developer of the game) that announced the news, but LG and Marmalade, which is a UK-based company that develops mobile middleware technology and games…

And that’s about all we know at the moment. No word on the release date nor how much Cut the Rope will cost once released for LG TVs. We do bet there will be some app store like service that will provide proud smart TV owners with the ability to go buy applications and games from the comfort of their sofa (or couch). We may actually talk about that at some later point if we find a mobile angle to the story. We’ll see…
