Well what do you know, Sony decided to launch its first iDock that works with Apple’s tablet. Although the image above (and the one on Sony Store’s website) shows an iPhone, there’s enough room to house the iPad just as well.
As we got used from Sony, this is a premium product with Magnetic Fluid speakers that should (their words) deliver “higher sound pressure with less distortion than traditional speakers.” What’s more, Sony’s unique “Clear Phase” linear phase correction circuitry ensures “reduced distortion and increased sound presence,” making your music crisp and clear.
The real iProduct must come with an accompanying app, and RDP-X500IP delivers on that front, too. The free to download D-Sappli app offers a large clock display, ability to set timers for your music, and a Sound Equalizer for adjusting the sound settings…
Interested? You’ll have to wait for October 2nd when first RDP-X500IP units will be shipped. In the meantime, you can preorder the dock for $299.99 from Sony’s website.
