The GetGlue entertainment check-in app for iPhone has had a bit of an overhaul, which now provides a more condensed home screen, a new conversation view that only shows the interesting check-ins, and a full graphical leaderboard to see where you stand in relation to your friends’ habits. There are a few smaller tweaks to optimize how you view sticker rewards.
GetGlue is a way for you to discover and share different kinds of entertainment, be it movies, TV shows, video games, music, or even wine and gossip. The social network lets you follow friends, leave comments, and like most check-in services, earn rewards from repeated check-ins. Most of these take the form of stickers, which GetGlue will eventually ship to you, and some even provide discounts on related swag if you hit fan status. It ties in with Facebook, Twitter, and Foursquare too, in case you want to update multiple networks at once with what you’re up to. I use GetGlue a fair bit for sharing what video games I’m playing, and earning the odd limited-time sticker.
The new update to GetGlue requires iOS 4 and up, and is available at the App Store link just below this demo video.
