After Flipboard, Zite and AOL Editions – we have another contender in the personalized magazine market, Evri. According to the official press release, Evri allows users to build their own news experience from more than 2.5 million popular topics, spanning across 15,000 of the “Web’s best sources.”
In addition to standard news feeds, the iPad application will also tap in your social networks, delivering top shared content from Twitter and Facebook. Then there are semantic channels, which are constructed on the fly from custom queries. Examples include Indigenous Rights, Celeb Breakups, Hollywood Rehab and Major League Baseball Injuries.
Need more info about some channel? Tap “Info Box” at the top and get detailed background information about any topic including biographies, statistics, app recommendations and much more.
Finally, all of the usual sharing and saving capabilities come built-in with the Evri app, including integration with Twitter, Facebook, Instapaper and Read It Later. Evri for iPad is available as a free download and you can get it from a link below.
