Samsung shows iPhone Maps screenshots on the Galaxy Player 50 graphic

Like the current legal battle with Apple is not enough for Samsung, they’re looking for even more trouble. Apparently, a page on the Korean company’s website dedicated to the Galaxy Player 50 features maps that are clearly ripped from the iPhone Maps app, as you can see from the image above. I’m saying “apparently” because I wasn’t able to access that page for some reason – the site returns me back to language/country selection process.

Now why would Samsung want to do something like this? The way I see it this must be an error on behalf of designers employed by the company to create pages for the 5-inch media player. I doubt it’s intentional – it’s just that someone doesn’t know there are big visual differences between Google Maps for iOS and Android.

In any case, I’m sure the page will be pulled down shortly (if it already hasn’t been) only to be replaced by real screenshots demoing Google Maps on Android…
