Verizon and Motorola are finally pushing Gingerbread updates for the Droid 2 Global and Droid Pro. Aside from bringing a number of improvements that come with Android 2.3, both firmwares also pack bug fixes and feature enhancements, as well as some new apps.
For instance, the Droid 2 Global adds Google Books, Accuweather, Amazon MP3 Store, Blockbuster and Adobe Flash Player 10.2, while improving the phone’s battery life and the overall stability. Furthermore, Bluetooth devices will now select the correct audio recording level for optimal voice capture and alert you when your audio level is too low.
As for the Droid Pro, the new software improves syncing with multiple email accounts and battery life while using Bluetooth and/or Wi-Fi. Moreover, V CAST Media Manager now comes preloaded, GPS apps no longer cause unnecessary device resets, while Mobile Hotspot status is displayed accurately.
Of course, those are just the highlights. You can get all the details from Verizon’s website – click here to get the Droid 2 Global’s change log and here to access change log for the Droid Pro.
