ViewSonic wants a piece of the growing tablet market. For that end, they’ve launched another product – ViewPad 7e, which is a low-cost Android tablet that will sell for $199.
Specs wise, the soon-to-be-launched device comes with a 7-inch 800×600 pixels touchscreen, Wi-Fi connectivity, 3-megapixel camera on the back, front-facing VGA camera, 1GHz processor, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal memory, microSD card slot, while Android 2.3 Gingerbread is running the show with ViewScene 3D UI singing on top of it.
We don’t like it that much and if you’re actually looking for a 7-inch tablet, you better get either Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus or Amazon’s Kindle Fire. Or grab some phone with a big screen (4.3-inch or bigger) along with a tablet with a bigger display (8.9-inch or bigger)…
Finally, aside from the U.S., the ViewPad 7e will also be available in Latin America starting from November.
