Running Android apps on a PC isn’t a new idea. What BlueStacks managed to do is to make the process super seamless. The free to download application runs on Windows 7, allowing you to enjoy Android apps and games on a big screen. Now I’m not sure that many folks will dig the idea, but it’s good to have such an option.
The best part is that you can keep your apps in sync (between a smartphone/tablet and PC) thanks to the BlueStacks Cloud Connect. The whole package comes with 10 pre-loaded games and you can install up to 26 additional titles.
Of course, not every computer can run BlueStacks – it needs to meet certain hardware requirements to run things smoothly. For one thing, Atom based netbooks won’t provide for an excellent experience.
Now you may think a total of 36 apps is a limiting factor and you’re right. The Pro version is in development as we speak and will be released soon. It will allow you to install and run unlimited apps and play “premium apps” (games). We’re not sure what that “premium” part exactly means and can only guess they’re talking about more demanding apps and games with 3D graphics.
Anyway, if you want to try BlueStacks and run Android apps on your PC – hit this link and take it from there.
