Gangstar Rio: City of Saints breaking the iOS law on Nov. 10th

Gameloft’s upcoming Gangstar Rio: City of Saints release date cannot come soon enough as the game has been teased for a couple of months now, but it looks like the wait will soon be coming to an end as Gameloft has announced the game will be available for iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch this Thursday.

A new gameplay trailer was also released this week, which I went ahead and embedded below for your viewing pleasure. Gangstar Rio: City of Saints’ story seems to revolve around a man who has lived a successful life of crime, but decides he doesn’t want to be a part of it anymore. That bit of news doesn’t go over well with his besties in his gang, so they decide to blow him up with a car bomb. Your character survives the “accident” and has decided, rather than forget the hole thing happened and prepare for the upcoming carnival, to go after the people responsible for blowing him up.

Gangstar Rio: City of Saints promises a new look, weapons, and vehicles all from the beautiful locale of Rio de Janeiro. No price has been announced, but I’m sure the game will release in the $5-$7 range. And as with all Gameloft titles, expect an Android release some time in the near future.
