Shazam, Delivery Agent team-up to allow consumers to purchase products in TV shows from their iOS and Android devices

Shazam is teaming-up with Delivery Agent to allow its users not only to identify TV shows they’re watching, but also to purchase products related to the Shazam-enabled show directly from their Apple iOS or Android mobile devices. As a result, users who “Shazam the show” will be presented with the TV show-specific storefront operated and optimized for mobile purchases by Delivery Agent.

And right from the start they have the first client – NBCUniversal, which is trialing the new service with Season 3 of USA Networks’ “Covert Affairs.” While the show is airing, consumers who Shazam the series will be served contextually relevant products to their mobile device and eventually purchase them using Delivery Agent’s TV Wallet.

Of course that’s not all. Fans of the show will also unlock exclusive video and photos from Globe Tracker, a multi-media gallery of on-location content shot by COVERT AFFAIRS star Christopher Gorham, who plays agent Auggie Anderson. Moreover, there are other options to share your discovery on Facebook and Twitter and Like the COVERT AFFAIRS Facebook page right from the Shazam app.
