Oh Siri, is there anything she can’t do? Well, actually there’s a lot the voice-control system on the iPhone 4S can’t do out of the box but enterprising hackers and tinkerers have made her do a lot of wild of things. One many is even using Siri to start his car.
Brandon Fiquett is using a hacked version of Siri in conjunction with the Viper SmartStart to start up his car by only using his voice. Remote starting of cars is actually pretty common on many modern higher-end vehicles but this just shows how much potential Siri could have once/if Apple opens it up to third-party development. Fiquett has used this for a variety of voice commands for his car, including popping the trunk, arming the alarm and setting off the panic mode.
