There’s no shortage of sales this Cyber Monday on tablets and smartphones but the Cyber Monday sale at Walmart is focusing on the prepaid market, as well as a neat iPad 2 bundle.
The Walmart Cyber Monday iPad 2 bundle sale isn’t close to a “door buster” but it will allow you to save roughly $41 on a 32 GB 3G-capable iPad 2 and your choice of accessory. The iPad is rarely discounted that much, as Apple’s own Black Friday sale only knocked off about 10%, so if that bundle is something you’d buy anyways, you may as well get a few bucks off.
While I’m not seeing any deals on high-end smartphones, the Walmart Cyber Monday sale does include some nice devices for prepaid carriers. You can pick up the BlackBerry Curve 8530 for about $80 on Virgin Mobile and that won’t lock you in to a two-year contract. I’m also seeing deals for Walmart’s own Straight Talk plan, as well as an Android smartphone for the prepaid service from Net 10.
