Remember that mysterious Lenovo 5-inch tablet/phone we’ve seen almost a week ago? We’re glad to report that additional information is now available about it, though I’m not sure you’ll like it. The problem is that the LePad S2005 comes with 800×480 pixels touchscreen, which is not enough by today’s standards — I would expect a 720p display, instead. Under the hood, the situation is bit different, with Lenovo’s baby sporting a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, HSPA+ and Wi-Fi connectivity. In addition, it also has a 5-megapixel camera on the back and 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera for video calls. All this is packed in relatively thin body (9.95 mm), weighing some 198 grams.
At the moment, the LePad S2005 is the China Unicom thing only, but apparently Lenovo may export it to the other parts of the world using IdeaTab brand. We’ll follow this story and let you know as soon as we hear something new about it. Stay tuned…
