Alec Baldwin kicked off plane for playing Words with Friends

We’re big fans of Words with Friends but we’re not addicted enough to get kicked off a plane because of it. Alec Baldwin apparently is though, as he was kicked off an American Airlines flight for playing the game on the plane.

Baldwin reportedly was playing while the plane was idle at the gate but other reports suggest he started talking trash to the flight crew and eventually made the pilot mad. Note to readers: do not piss off the pilot, as you’ll be watching the plane take off from the ground. Baldwin took to Twitter to defend himself.

“Flight attendant on American reamed me out 4 playing WORDS W FRIENDS while we sat at the gate, not moving. #nowonderamericaairisbankrupt,” Baldwin tweeted.

I’m a big believer of using mobile technology on planes to enhance the experience, as I never go on a flight without my tablet. Still, it’s important to turn these off these devices at the appropriate moments and most importantly, let’s be courteous to each other while we’re up in the air.
