USA TODAY launches a Kindle Fire app

Another day, another platform supported by USA TODAY. This time their target is Amazon’s Kindle Fire, which users will now be able to access the magazine’s award-winning content from the comfort of their sofa, couch or wherever they happen to use their tablet.

Available as a free download, USA TODAY is sponsored by Volkswagen as I’m sure everyone will notice.

It is said that the USA TODAY for Kindle Fire comes with a “custom look and design specifically for the tablet” that takes advantage of the device’s 7-inch screen. The signature content is the same as on all other platforms, and so are the “eye catching photos.”

Finally we have the words of Dave Hunke (president and publisher of USA TODAY) to add – he said: “Part of USA TODAY’s mobile strategy is to be the first news source on emerging technologies. We develop and design our apps for each specific device to provide the optimum experience to our customers…”
