After Android, iOS, BlackBerry and Symbian – Wikitude is bringing its augmented reality app to Windows Phone users, allowing them to explore their surroundings while on the go.
The application has been customized to enable the panorama user interface, which apparently differentiates the experience on Microsoft’s platform. The WP version also provides category containers such as Pubs, Accommodations, Cafes, Attractions and Restaurants on the home screen, offers a search functionality, and in addition to the AR view – the ability to see Places in map or list view.
In total, users can choose between 2,500 AR content experiences called content “Worlds,” which are actually aggregated content datasets that add up to more than 150 million points of interest like sights, restaurants, mobile coupons, cafes and WiFi hotspots around the globe.
Of course, you shouldn’t be afraid of the high figure – there’s an option to customize your home screen according to your lifestyle and preferences, so that only the things you are interested are on display…
