Zynga releases Dream Heights onto iOS; Tiny Towers devs probably still unhappy

A couple of weeks ago, the Tiny Towers developers, Nimblebit, decided to take out some of their frustation upon learning of Zynga’s tower building clone by releasing a lovely letter via the Interwebs. No one had even heard of Dream Heights, but since Nimblebit placed the game in its crosshairs, gamers have been awaiting for the game’s arrival onto the App Store. The wait is finally over as the controversial Dream Heights has been made available for iOS devices today.

Dream Heights allows players to build a vertical metropolis of sorts by building floor after floor of shops for your tower residences and visitors to visit. Players can choose from a number of shops to be included in their tower like frozen yogurt stores, dance studios, and even an ice rink. As you continue to build up your tower, you’ll be given visual cues to inform the player how tall their tower is becoming compared to famous real-world monuments like the Taj Mahal or the Leaning Tower of Pisa.

Zynga is looking to deliver more of a social experience in their tower building game by allowing players to visit each other’s towers by way of the Skybridge. Not only can players visit each other’s towers, but they can also shop in the stores in another person’s tower. All the while they’ll be earning coin just for being social in Dream Heights.

As of this writing, Dream Heights has yet to be made available on the App Store, but Zynga says the game is scheduled to be made available later today.
