Verizon drops Samsung Stratosphere's price to $99.99

The Samsung Stratosphere is far from being the best LTE-enabled smartphone in Verizon Wireless’ offering, but it’s the first QWERTY keyboard-equipped device the Big Red carrier added to its LTE portfolio. Not that this actually counts for something, but if you still like Sammy’s phone, you may be glad to find out it’s now available for $99.99 (down from $149.99) with a two-year contract. Moreover, Verizon is also listing the Stratosphere with its BOGO offer, allowing interested folks to grab one phone and get the other one for free. As a result, this makes Stratosphere’s price drop for another 50 bucks which is cool.

The problem, however, is found under the hood. You see, Sammy’s baby doesn’t rock a dual-core processor and may easily be excluded from the Ice Cream Sandwich updates. If that’s not a problem for you, hop over to Verizon’s website and take it from there. Personally, I would advise you to get the Motorola DROID 4 if you still can’t live without a physical keyboard…
